Yosemite Reflections

Do you know where this is? It’s an iconic place for me as much from a photography perspective as from my adventurous rock-climbing days. If you haven’t seen the documentary of Alex Honold’s free solo rock climbing, watch it. He climbed the rock on the left called El Capitan without any rope! We were there the day he climbed it without even knowing! If you visit this place you will also find great trails with lots to see. There are many waterfalls, such as Bridalveil fall on the right of this image. The wildlife is impressive and they are certainly not shy. I saw my first brown bear here with her cub while walking in the forest. I thought my reaction to seing a bear would be to panic, but it was quite the opposite. It was very enlightening to see them roam free in nature. The bear and her cub were digging up a meal in a dead tree and minding their own business. It was really special to be there.
