Winter Retreat

Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park is as charming as it gets. We are lucky enough to have visited this place in different seasons. Last winter, we stayed in a cabin here for a couple of days and it was the highlight of our trip. The best part is that there is no internet connection. We could almost say its a well needed detox centre for technology addicts. We had a cozy fire in our wooden cabin, great wine and amazing food in the main cabin. Outdoors was nothing short of spectacular. The tall mountains surround the beautiful turquoise lake. The trees are massive and many were bending because of the heavy snow. At night, an outdoor fire pit with slow falling snow made it look like a winter wonderland. It is a great place to reconnect with the outdoors and we can’t wait to go again.
