Starfish

Problems seemed to be miles away as the only worry was to avoid getting my camera soaked in the salty sea water. We were in Isla Mujeres, enjoying another day exploring the island. This time we decided to head straight to Playa Northe, known for it’s turquoise, calm water. The friendly restaurants greeted us on the white sanded beach with swings replacing barstools. As the sun was going down, people left, giving us the beach to ourselves. We should appreciate these short but important moments in our lives as they may be more precious than we think. I would like to thank everyone taking this crisis seriously and doing their part. Health workers, Grocery workers, pharmacists, mechanics, janitors, politicians and more have all stepped up to do the right thing. Everyone can be a hero in this period in time, even if that means staying home. The sooner we follow recommendations, the sooner we can go back to a simpler time and enjoy moments like these.
