Spirit Island

I really enjoyed spirit island in maligne lake. It’s a small island about 12km distance from the maligne lake entrance. You can either canoe your way here, or take one of the boats for the ride. The downside to the latter is that you only have about 30 minutes to explore if I recall well. The place is surreal, the water is unnaturally turquoise coloured surrounded by towering snow top mountains.I think next time I would enjoy kayaking here and staying overnight for the sunrise. This small island has put Jasper on the map, making it world renowned and it helped with the tourism. I can understand why. Can’t wait to go here again.
