Riomaggiore Magic

Do you know where this place is? There are 5 colourful villages all built on the edge of a cliff on the sea. This is a UNESCO site in Cinque Terre Italy. It is one of the many Italian places that seems to have kept its old ways. For instance, there are no cars here, you need to walk everywhere you want to go. The narrow, tortuous streets are filled with old coloured buildings. Its a place that is fun to get lost and explore. The people are friendly and you can easily find delights in the coffee shops and terraces to eat local foods. From my understanding, Pesto sauce was born here. Most of my meals were home made pasta with their pesto sauce. The vineyards surround the five villages and the wine was excellent. I spent as much time here as I could. Mornings and nights I would go out for my photography, but the daytime was reserved to experience the place. I had 4 days and I would have wanted more. Can’t wait to travel again.
