Mother Nature

This larger than life sculpture that can be found in Tulum Mexico. It was created by Daniel Popper, a South African artist that creates towering sculptures that are displayed around the world. He called it Ven a la Luz, meaning come into the light. He does his artwork with wood and rope, giving his sculptures a natural feeling. The immense size really gives his work the dramatic effect. Personally, I found that this sculpture really has a story to tell. It seems that she is telling us that nature is her soul.

You can see this sculpture on the side of the road of the small town of Tulum. Tulum had one of the best vibes we have seen in Mexico. Small shops, beautiful restaurants and boutique hotels surround the narrow street full of well dressed people looking for a good time. While you drive by, pull down the window and listen to some of the live bands playing relaxing music. The ocean is nearby and some restaurants and shops are surrounded by beach sand. Our only regret was to not have enough time to spend here on our trip. Next time we go to Mexico, this will be our spot for a couple of days.
