Ice Bubbles

The Canadian Rockies will always be one of my favorite places to visit. There are endless natural landscapes to explore if you go beyond the travel pamphlets. This is Abraham Lake, in the Saskatchewan river crossing. It is famous for its high winds that keep snow off of the lake so you can see the methane bubbles trapped in the ice. Even the colour of the ice was not all the same. I could see some type of fish coursing underneath my feet as I walked here. I could stay in a place like this for hours, finding special bubble formations against a backdrop of spectacular mountains. We did stay here for hours and I will go again.
