Hopewell Rocks

One of my favourite spots now since it’s so close to home. I had an idea of heading out here during high tide to catch the Galaxy’s core that I would have blended with the blue hour shot. I got here early enough to get the blue hour shot and stayed much later to get all of the images necessary for the night shot. When I started to look into my images, I really liked this simple blue hour shot. It’s the time of transition between day and night and this shot represents just that. The stars are appearing in the sky and the sunset light is still present. The golden appearance on the rocks is an effect from the lights behind me. This image is a very calming to my eye as the sky and the water appear so soft. I enjoyed this image so much that all of the night shots I got a couple of hours later I did not edit them. ⁠
