Welcome to coastal New-Brunswick, my home! In my opinion, this place looks like the famous Oregon Pacific coast.
I finally got a shot of the milky way with the flowerpot rocks in the Bay of Fundy. This place is very impressive when you slow down and think about it. This shot is literally taken on the ocean floor, since this place is known for the highest tides in the world! These tides happen twice per day and while exploring this past Saturday morning, you can really see the water line at it’s highest point, which is well above our heads. It varies from up to 16 Meters. It gives you a sense that you are walking on the ocean floor, like Aquaman. 🧜🏼🧜🏼‍♀️ You can then kayak in the high tides around these rock formations. 🚣‍♀️ 🌊

I have been checking the tides, the clouds, the moon and the milky way for this shot. Finally, everything lined up for this image on Saturday am. After a night of ice climbing with @austinlavallee and @mattcfyqm , I got up at 2:00 am, picked up a @austinlavallee and headed out to hopewell rocks. We set up an hour before the milky way exposed its core to find a good composition. We placed cold lights on both sides of the rock formation to even out the lighting and we started shooting from around 5 am until the blue hour. The orange glow comes from light pollution from the Dorchester region. I didn’t place any filters to eliminate the light pollution since I like this effect. 💫
