Hidden Aurora

Winter has not started yet, but I can’t wait to get out there and explore our province in a different atmosphere. This one was again from the Lofoten Islands. Is was taken late at night when the aurora just showed herself to us for a brief moment. We stood here for a couple of hours, just waiting. Finally, the clouds split and revealed the aurora, our first sighting. I spent another couple of hours, hoping that the clouds would clear but they didn’t. For the photographers reading this, the fore/middle ground is well lit because of the full moon. It was so bright it almost looks like a daytime shot. ⁠
