Gardian of the Galaxy

This January, the original lighthouse at the Bouctouche Dune was demolished by high winds. They rebuilt a new one and activated it on march 12, 2020. I was excited to shoot the new one and made sure to prepare myself this time with plenty of food and water. I rented a fat bike thinking it would be easier to get there with all my camera gear, but I was wrong. It gave me quite the exercise 😅. I left at 11pm and made it just on time for the milky way. On the right side of the picture, you can see the ashes from the old lighthouse. I took some leftover burnt pieces of wood with me as a memory. I’m glad I had the priviledge to shoot the original one before it disappeared. ☺️💫
